The Things That Stick Around

Why is there a couch up there? Good question.

Actually, that couch belongs to my brother (but it is orange in real life) and is one of those objects that sticks out like a sore thumb but you can’t get rid of it. Because it is too comfy.

I have a sweatshirt like that. My grandma gave it to me when I visited her, and of course you can’t refuse something if it is from your grandma! Sentimental value! But the sweatshirt is this ugly shade of Pepto Bismal pink, and I’m sure it looks awful on me. It’s so comfy though! I can’t give it up.

Let’s just hope I don’t become a hoarder of everything. The thought makes me shudder.

Calm & Bright – Greeting Card No.15

Calm & Bright.jpg

Silent night, holy night
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon Virgin Mother and Child
Holy Infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace
Sleep in heavenly peace

Silent night, holy night!
Shepherds quake at the sight
Glories stream from heaven afar
Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia!
Christ, the Saviour is born
Christ, the Saviour is born

Silent night, holy night
Son of God, love’s pure light
Radiant beams from Thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth

Winter Bird

For some reason, I’ve been into winter animals like this bird, the deer I drew in this post, and this cute fox found on Pinterest. I’m not typically a nature-obsessed individual (I prefer staying inside) but there is something soothing about being surrounded by wilderness. As long as you have warm clothes and you know where you’re at. Oh, and it helps to be semi-close to a town. What can I say, I’m not that adventurous!

I love to hear birds chirping outside my window, especially during spring! The innocent sound is so cheerful 🙂 I kind of miss that sound now that we are entering the Winter season.

Goodnight!

Rain Gems

I am so loving this autumn, rainy, windy weather! Today I felt like the Morton Salt girl, except less adorable 🙂

This piece was inspired by, well, the weather. And I felt that rain drops needed to have a fancier name, thus rain gems.
